1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Stridify website (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.
2. User Accounts
To access certain features of the Site, you may be required to register for an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
3. Subscriptions and Billing
Some features of the Site are provided on a subscription basis. Each subscription plan includes a monthly allowance of photo uploads as described on the pricing page. Allowances reset at the start of each subscription month.
- You can cancel or change your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing month.
- Subscriptions automatically renew monthly unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Payments are processed securely by third-party providers. By subscribing, you authorise us and our payment processors to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
- No refunds or credits are provided for partial months, downgrades, or unused allowances.
4. Intellectual Property Ownership of Uploads
You (the uploader) retain all intellectual property rights in the photographs and other content you upload to the Site.
5. Limited Licence to Display Thumbnails and Event Images
By uploading content, you grant Stridify a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence solely to:
- Host and display thumbnail versions of your photographs on the Site; and
- Publish event images on the Site to support event-related pages and features.
This licence is limited to operating and displaying the Site. It does not permit us to sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit your full-resolution photographs outside the Site. You may remove your content at any time.
6. Prohibited Activities
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
- Infringe upon or violate the intellectual property rights of others.
- Upload images or other content that is inappropriate, offensive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or violent, including material likely to cause offence or distress, or that is unlawful or violates another person’s privacy.
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the Site or its systems.
- Engage in any activity that could damage, disable, or impair the Site.
7. Privacy and Personal Data
We collect and process personal data (such as your name, email address, and billing details) only as necessary to operate your account, deliver subscriptions, and provide customer support. We do not use your personal data for marketing purposes, nor do we sell or share it with third parties for advertising. For more details, please review our Privacy Policy.
Photo Metadata
When you upload photographs to the Site, we automatically extract and store certain technical metadata from your images, including but not limited to:
- Image dimensions (width and height in pixels)
- Timestamp information (when available in the photo's metadata)
- File format and technical specifications necessary for processing and display
This metadata is used solely for the technical operation of the Site, including proper display, organisation, and processing of your photographs. We do not use this information for any other purpose.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Site and all content and services provided are offered "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Stridify does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stridify disclaims all liability for any damages arising from your use of the Site.
9. Hosting, Governing Law, and Jurisdiction
The Site is hosted in the United Kingdom (England). Stridify is operated by Stridify, based in Scotland. These Terms and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by the laws of Scotland and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
10. Changes to Terms
Stridify reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Site. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
